A visual storyteller at heart, Suzanne R. Wedekind has dedicated more than 34 years to teaching art to children in grades K-12. Along the way, she studied with recognized artists working across a range of media and techniques. Today her practice continues to evolve through experimentation, travel, observation, and a lifelong sense of adventure.

Adventures in travel, especially hiking through the mountains, have become an important source of inspiration for Suzanne's paintings and mixed-media work. The landscape becomes a way of observing color, texture, movement, and scale.

I believe that life is an art and life-long learning requires a sense of adventure. I am still learning and I hope to share my vision and my creative journey.
